Friday's Post

I feel like a loser! I already missed a day on Allies 10 in a row blogging challenge! Oh well, Since this one is double the fun, and I blogged twice on the first day, maybe I get some extra credt??

Bruce Springsteen "Devils and Dust" YIKES! REALLY? YIKES! My boys are a little scary and dust, well I've got plenty of that to justify a theme song for sure.

What is my day going to be like?
It's already been a good day, but the "songs" say- The Fray "hundred" "So this is where you are, and this is where I am, somewhere between unsure and a hundred." That might be somewhat accurate.

Jack Johnson (I have a lot of his music ;) "Tomorrow morning." Nah, I'll just publish it today since I already missed yesterday. Thanks, though.

Once again I gleen from the vast knowledge of my good friend Allie. Yay for me!

No more pity parties..

So, lately I've been feeling sorry for myself- the lone woman in a housefull of testosterone, trucks, balls, and toy trains. This morning was an eye opener. The boys woke me up and we did our usual routine, but for some reason it was just FUN! Charlie cracked me up as he fed himself this morning - without any help AT ALL- and made a HUGE mess and laughed and giggled and just before I took the following picture he said, "I grink it!"



Dillon is such an active kid. He's SOOO athletic! He just wants to fill his days riding his bike, playing basketball, baseball, football, and as you'll recall, the winter sports of last month. Now its frisbee throwing and skateboarding! He is the cutest thing to watch when he gets all "sporty" and focused on impressing me. It's soooooo cute :)




As you can see, the fence has yet to be fixed, but ALAS! As I write this very moment the fence guys pull up and are getting the wood out of their truck!!!! It's so hard to believe because we've been trying to get them to come since OCTOBER!



Ok, the answer to your question is, YES, Dillon dressed himself this morning. It's a fight I've decided only to engage in for schooldays and Sundays. PS - LOOK AT HIS FACE! What'd I say about him being all "sporty" and focused?

So, no more pity parties for me thinking about how much I'd like NOT to be in this house full of crazy wild boys. It's actually pretty fun!

This is random, but funny, so I had to mention it. The other day, Dillon saw James and I kiss on the lips. He YELLS at the top of his lungs, "YUCK DAD!! That stuff is for weddings!"

A Couple of Interesting Developments:

I don't have any pictures for this one.. Just a note about a few interesting developments around here lately:

1. It FROZE overnight here 3 nights in a row. Of course these three nights came just after we had finally (after THREE YEARS of putting it off) landscaped our front yard. $700 worth of plants and who knows if any survived! :(

2. Some friends from church found out we were selling the house, came to look at it, and are working on putting an offer on it!!! YEEE HAAAWWW!! I'm praying that it will work out b/c they are sooo cool. We have often talked about how much we wish we could sell the house to students somehow, but we didn't hold out much hope... We're so excited!!

3. The kids aren't sick. YES! Charlie is much better - he'll finally eat three meals and poop regularly (sorry) and he doesn't whine all day! Dillon is back in preschool and I'm hoping to have a normal schedule again soon!!!!

4. Girl's Night tomorrow night. WHEW! I'm literally STARVING for a little female company and most of all conversation! They're going to have to drag me out the door when it's time to leave ;)

5. My face is breaking out like CRAZY! I look like a greasy teenager right now! ICK! Not Fun :(
