A box, a haircut and some new shoes.

Those are just a few of the things that make today cool. It's also Girl's Night tonight (WAHOO) and the Grey's Anatomy premier. (yes, I'm taping it) SOSOSOSOSOSO excited for that! ER premier looks a little crazy, but yes, I'm taping that too ;)

Someone needs to invent a toy that's like a cardboard box. It would be a huge money maker. Seriously, I can remember having some of my funnest adventures with them as a child. My boys have on numerous occasions played in, on, around cardboard boxes of all shapes and sizes. Once we made a castle. Another time a turtle shell. Usually it's just a fun way to hide from mom!

Dillon got a new pair of "basketball shoes" for his "itty bitty sports club" that starts on Saturday. He also got his first salon haircut - much better than any haircut I ever gave him! Charlie found a soccer ball in our backyard and this was the look on his face!

No Proof.

Since medical school is nearing its end, I'm having to get to know a whole new side of dear husband, that frankly I never saw comin'! It's "Spontaeous Fun Guy James" that I've really never met before! Yesterday was a SERIOUSLY fun day! James got home early and announced, "We're going to the Diamondbacks game!" And we did! James was able to get tickets for $1. Yep. $1. WOWZA! The kids danced and played and ate hot dogs and popcorn and James took Dillon down after the game to "run the bases!" He won't stop talking about it! We drove home exhausted with funnness.

Here's the problem - I FORGOT MY CAMERA! Yes, I don't have any proof other than a ticket stub. I SO wish I'd have remembered to bring that stinkin' thing. There were tons of great photo ops!

Here's a cute baby card I made today... thought it would be fun to share!

Another random blog entry!

Hmmm I wonder where Charlie gets his good looks? Is it the Mathews side, or the Jones? Well this is a picture of my brother when he was close to Charlie's age -

Here's me at 2 years old. Still think it's the Mathews' side? Hahaha!

I thought I'd post a page that I did yesterday for this week's round of "This is SO me." The challenge is "back to the future" to scrap about your past or your future. This is me at age 9. It's the WORST school picture I ever had and that's just why I chose it. It was an awkward year for me in many respects and the journaling is a list of things I would tell my nine-year-old self if I could.

This is a picture Dillon drew of himself a few months ago that I have saved. I didn't really know what to do with it until one of the DT members from PaperPosies posted a layout she did of HER son's self portrait! I thought this was PERFECT! So here's my version!

Happy Birthday Emme!

Happy Birthday to my gorgeous and sweet sister-in-law Emma-Lee! This is a girl to whom I owe most of my greatest happinesses. 8 years ago next month she set me up on a blind date with her older, smokin' HOT brother James! There's not a day goes by that I'm not thankful to her for that.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMME! LOVE YA!

Here's a LO I did this week for ROUND 2 of Paper Posies "This is SO me" contest. It's going really well, and I'm LOVING being the PPPP- Paper Posies Party Person! It's so much fun! This week's challenge was to not use any cardstock. That may sound simple, but its NOT! Anyway - so far the entries are ROCKIN!!! CHECK THEM OUT!

First official payment for services rendered...

This morning we got a call from a member of our ward that had been in a bike accident. He had a head laceration, and wasn't sure if he needed stitches or not. James went over to take a look and recommended they go ahead with the stitches. Well, here's a photo of him with his first official payment for services rendered. James was pretty excited, and it's perfect seeing that its 107 degrees outside ;) WOOPPEEE!!

Here's the LO I used as an example for my first official assignment as PaperPosies Party Person:

The first round ended last night and the entries are amazing! Check them out! This next one is for the cover of Dillon's preschool scrapbook. I decided just to save some of his best creations from preschool and throw in a few pictures here and there to make a simple scrapbook of all the fun he's having. Yesterday was his spotlight day and they sang his favorite songs and talked about him. He also got to take home the class teddy bear for a couple of days - that was fun!
