So after over a year of plans and prep, it was finally time for the wedding festivities to begin!
First, the
Bridal Shower!
Haley was gorgeous and glowing- obviously excited about all that was in store for the week of her wedding. The two most lovely and best babysitters in the world took advantage of some coveted "LEO time."
Sigh. Another sweet picture of my precious granny Joy. So glad to have these now...
Haley had to put an entire piece of bubble gum (the pink nasty kind that you can get an entire bag of at the dollar store- yeah) for every question she failed about Adrian. SHE MISSED 13!! Hence the face --->
We made wedding dresses out of toilet paper - Cute cute Emmy
And the winner was MY TEAM! Lyna looking the bashful bride in this one of a kind couture gown by designer Jenny Mathews. (it fell apart almost completely right after we took this photo)
You're welcome- USE IT!

So, some back story on this next photo: At this point, I had a TWO month old. I was getting about 4-5 hours of sleep per night in bits and pieces. I had just spend the Summer with 5 kids at the house all day, and had only just recovered from the last trip to Utah when it was time for this one. Couple this with the stress of traveling with the whole family for about 4 different events with an infant who screams the entire time you're driving and my sweet husband had broken out into some CRAZY rash that was keeping him from sleeping as well...... I was kind of a wreck. As a matter of fact, I had what some might call a nervous break down a day or two after arriving. SO EXHAUSTED- trying hard not to lose control only made it worse. Anyway, after the baby shower, my sister-in-law, Amy mentioned that she was going to a thing with her Aunt (Julie Beck- the current general Relief Society president) at Temple Square the next day and would I like to come? It was the only day that week that I could have actually slept in and vegged for a while, but I couldn't pass the opportunity up. I had only brought my fancy dress for the wedding, so we woke up extra early, I fed Leo and was on the clock- 3 hours. That's how long I had to go buy a dress, put it on in the store bathroom, drive to temple square, attend this reception/brunch thing that I was technically "crashing," and get back before Leo was hungry again. Once I got there, it was clear to me that the Lord had heard my prayers and that this was another of His "tender mercies." Julie was throwing this reception/brunch for her family who had supported her during her time as gen. RS pres. and helped her produce material for the "Daughters in My Kingdom" book that was being released. The whole time I was spiritually fed and emotionally and spiritually renewed.

Still. So. Grateful.
At Haley's rehearsal dinner, Nate and I practiced all of our best looks. My photo file is full of them, but I decided to just go with posting, "Blue thunder." Its the best one.
The day before the wedding we had manis and pedis - even ANNABELLE! She still talks about it.
My guys were beyond scrumptious as the ring-bearers.
Another deep sigh. I miss you so much grandma! I hope I'm half as beautiful as you were - inside and out when I'm 88!
Check out my uncle Randy in the background----> I love this photo so much!
Baby hungry anyone? Well, little did she know that she'd be cradling her own sweet little girl almost exactly a year later!
Guess who, in this next photo, had just finished leaving it all on the dance floor?
Thanks for getting married, Hay! You were stunning and it was a memorable and F U N day!
