March 09 re-cap

I absolutely hate it when I don't blog for so long that catching up is an impossible and daunting task! Oh well.. Here goes!

First week of March -

James surprises me with a trip to LA for our TENTH ANNIVERSARY! That's right folks. We go "shopping" on Rodeo drive, out to dinner at Ruth's Chris, then to RENT at the Pantages theater on Hollywood blvd - which, by the way, had the original two guys - Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp!! It was SO SUPER FUN! Only it for sure didn't last long enough. We weren't even gone 24 hours! Oh well- thank you MOM for watching the kiddos and James for being so amazingly sweet :)

Dillon had his first baseball game - which we missed- but have seen 3 games since. SO CUTE! He's really loving it. He got to play catcher on Saturday and both times he got up to bat he hit the ball without using the T! That's my guy!

The second week in March Dillon got some crazy virus and missed the whole week of school cuz he had a constant low grade fever! James and the boys spent the latter part of the week in RENO where they watched the AGGIES take the WAC Championship! It was a trip they'll never forget- even though he didn't take a camera to record them in their aggie shirts and blue hair and painted faces at each game!! Annabelle and I really missed them. I spent the whole time re-vamping my website and that Saturday had a photo shoot with a bunch of my friends' daughters. It went SO well and the site is a thousand times better now! THANKS AGAIN FRIENDS!!

Then later that day Annie and I went up to hang with Grandma. We had way too much fun shopping and eating and just hanging out- you know- girl style!

Third week in March I spent getting these ready for Paper Posies --------->

We have spent the last couple of weeks doing our "normal" routine- workout, baseball, playgroup, baseball, volunteer at the school, baseball...

And this last Saturday, our little Belle turned 18 months old! We celebrated at Red Robin and treated her to bottomless french fries- her favorite :)

She is at such a fun stage. She is constantly singing, dancing, or twirling. She still adores all things Mickey and gives so much love. Her #1 goal in life is to make EVERY person she meets smile and wave. She's accomplishing that goal pretty well! We are so blessed to have her.

If you're wondering about Charlie- he's being very patient and sweet as we drag him around for Dillon's baseball and school stuff. Its hard for him to be just a little too young to participate, but he always finds a way to entertain himself and get into a little bit of trouble in the process :) He's one of a kind -our Choo choo.

LDS Temple - response to "Big Love"

I got a little upset about that weird show on HBO "Big Love" and how they portray my religion. I've only watched a few minutes of it because the content is so offensive, but from all I've seen and heard I know Its confusing to people who know little about Mormons. Regarding the most recent episode and their scenes that supposedly took place inside a Mormon temple, I have posted this video. The temple is a wonderful place to worship and do God's work. I had the privilege of going this weekend and experiencing one of the most spiritual temple sessions of my life. A dear friend of mine went through for the first time. She'd been waiting for a really long time to get the chance and I think partly because of her faith and endurance, God's love was felt so strongly there that day. The temple is where I feel closest to Heaven, and to my Heavenly Father.
