Happy Tuesday.

So, since this is the third Tuesday in a row that I've blogged, I should totally make it like a Tuesday night thing. Seems to be working out ok.

I have had bits and pieces of free time this week, so I've been able to scrapbook!! I love my new scrap space (the desk just goes on forever)! It's nice to spread out and everything, but there's no overhead lighting which makes evening scrap sessions nearly impossible!

On another note, it's been completely crazy how lately my moods have been just WACKO! I don't even know myself hardly. One minute I want to just go go go and work hard and get things done, the next minute all I want to do is cry and sleep. Then 2 min. later I'm all shaky and nervous, then excited and giddy. It's exhausting. My moods were more even with the boys. I've even had morning sickness the last several mornings. No barfing, just nausea. I DID get an appointment with an OB finally! Our insurance doesn't officially start up until Aug 1, but they said they'd cover me! DOUBLE WHEW! I'm now in my THIRD trimester.. holy cow.

Tonight the RS presidency came over for a visit. Thursday is the EQ visit and not this Sunday but the next, we speak in Sacrament meeting. THIS WARD IS HECKA ON THE BALL!

I really do love it here. Our neighbors have a magnolia tree which were everywhere in Texas growing up, so I get a little nostalgic when that scent fills the air. LOVE IT. We found a pool to swim in- signed up the kids for lessons today. It's on base and free and everything. Kids were so happy to get wet again!

I wanted to give a shout out to my CUZ Missy, who last week gave birth to a beautiful baby girl - Autumn Marie Hogge. Congrats Miss- she's perfect :) Now I'll just get back to cookin' her little buddy over here! ;)

This is a little tour of the house now that we've got it pretty much put together. It's starting to feel like home.

What I love, What I miss

I have sat down to write this post at least half a dozen times in the last week! I have GOT to get a better schedule down! Anyway, here goes.

I sat Charlie down to trim his hair around his ears yesterday. I completely botched it and this is how it ended up-

not bad, but sorta early 90's. Poor kid has a hairstyle that is SO YESTERDAY!

We went to the San Diego Saturday. Fun, but I'll NEVER recommend going there on a Saturday after school has just let out for the summer.. Kinda nuts. Plus the traffic.... OI!




Our boys were such monkeys that day, we totally skipped the monkey section. Nothing new there ;)

What I miss:

BELL ROAD!- I can't seem to find anything here and it's like a serious traffic situation whenever I try. The other day I got completely lost and ended up on a dirt road that ran along side the freeway and then dead ended!!?? Plus, Bell road had everything absolutely everything you could ever need within 5 miles or so of my house.

Swimming- We haven't yet found a pool that we can use or anything and the kids are going nuts without being in the pool several times a week. I could also use a little pool time! The ocean is too cold. Brrrrr

My OBGYN- It looks like it could be quite a while until I can get into a doctor here and it's already been 3 weeks since my last appointment. Dr. Erickson seriously was the best OB EVER! I hope I can find some one I feel comfortable with.

All my GIRLS!- I so need a girl's night right about now and making new friends is a slow process, even for someone as "shy" as me! It's making little knots in my stomach..

BIG Green recycling can- We filled that thing to the brim every week. Here there's only a small crate for paper and a small crate for cans. What a waste!

What I don't miss:

H E A T- It hasn't gotten above 75 yet here. Mama like. Plus, I can smell the ocean as the wind blows through the house!

B U G S- Haven't seen a cockroach yet and they don't have scorpians here, although we had one crawl out of one of the boxes we unpacked. HUGE ugly guy lived three weeks in storage and got flushed at first light. Ick and good riddance. We do have ants that force us to make sure all the dishes are done every night, but that's probably a good thing ;)

Rocks and Cacti- I love grass. I never new how much until we moved to Glendale. I LOVE GREEN and flowers and trees and grass.

Getting in a blazing hot car after three hours of church- enough said.

What I'll have to get used to:

Getting soluted going to and from the base, tipping the bagger at the commisary, hearing gun rounds going off at all hours (we live super duper close to the base). Being "husbandless" again. That last part of med school was so nice. He was home so much and now he has ICU at Balboa in July and will actually live there all month. He'll come home like once a week. :( :( :(

We had a great time meeting all of the other interns tonight at a little get-together. Everyone seems SO nice. James' program director is LDS, has six kids and is such a great guy. He's also got four other interns from AZCOM and 2 other LDS guys. I met their wives and that was nice too.

Things are rollin' along. I'll get some more pictures of the house and the area for next time. HUGS!

Three crazy awesome weeks!

In a nutshell, this is what we've been doing over the last three weeks: We've driven to California, Flown to Hawaii (had the time of our lives), flown back, driven back to AZ, graduated from Med school, driven to Utah then back to California where we moved in to our new house just this last weekend. It's been the craziest three weeks of our lives! After living out of suitcases for that long, you really come to appreciate your own stuff- your pwn bed is suddenly the most comfortable bed in the whole world!! We're SOOO glad to finally be here and we're working hard at getting settled.

I could really say so much but first I want to thank everyone who helped us out during the whole process. MOM - you first. Thanks for taking such amazing care of the boys (they're still talking about all the fun they had with you guys). BETH - you totally saved me that night watching the boys during graduation banquet. Mathews family - thanks for showing up en mass to support us during that most proudest of days. You made it all the more special and memorable. I am going to be spiritual for a minute and thank Heavenly Father because without his help, several times this last few weeks I would have completely cracked. Plus, we made it to this point safe and sound and without incident. (Huge grateful sigh)

OK - on to the good stuff PICTURES!!!!!

Hawaii was THE funnest week of my entire life. I will just say this: You know how at the end of a vacation you start to feel ready to go home and get back into the routine etc? NOT EVEN CLOSE! I could've spent another week there and been fine! My boys were having fun, my Mom was enjoying them and we were just basking in the joy of being in the most beautiful place on earth, with some of our funnest friends, without the kids (sorry guys), done with school, all of it. It was like a dream come true.



Here's us just off the plane - thought we'd do a before and after... the after was just too sad!



The first night... after a refreshing dip in the ocean. This beach was right behind our cottage.



Our favorite activity was snorkeling. We snorkeled at least once four out of the six days! One day, we snorkeled three different places!



The first day we met up with our friends, we went surfing. Well, I basically watched, but had myself a few great laughs! Oh, and a killer sunburn!



This was our cute little cottage at KeIki beach. Uh, the Jeep was ours for the week too ;)



If you've been to Oahu and seen the Temple, you know that NO PHOTO could ever do that sight justice. Its too amazing. If there are places on EARTH this beautiful, heaven is going to be quite a trip.



Here's James boogie boarding. This was the one time I really wished I wasn't pregnant (just for a milisecond).. these guys looked like they were having WAY TOO MUCH FUN!

Hanauma Bay. My belly dragged along the reef while we were snorkeling here, but we still loved it! We saw some amazing and HUGE tropical fish!



Blowhole. Can you believe the color of the water?????? Here we also watched a huge sea turtle swimming down below... they're so magnificent.



Later that same day at the International Marketplace for some good ol' SHOPPING! James was quite the negotiater and got us some pretty great deals.



We made time at the Polynesian Cultural Center for this romantic shot - Yes, I'm fishy kissing him... not sure why, but I do know that this next picture may very well be too sexy for public viewing. Grrrrrrrr!! ;)



So, now that you're all sufficiently jealous and it's 11:00 PM, I may have to call it quits for tonight and resume the post tomorrow. Aloha.

GOAL: blog entry asap

Hey world! I'm still here.. just barely capable of accessing the internet and my PC. Ahh.. life is crazy but good. There is much to tell, and much to catch up on in all of your lives. Posting a real entry is very high on my to do list and will be within the next couple of days - I PROMISE! I have about 300 pictures to upload!! YIKES!!
