Sum Sum Summatime '09 continued

Since I have totally slacked off blogging this Summer, this is going to be a long-ish post, so hang in there if you can.

Our trip to Utah was so fun!  The first few days I spent in SLC with some of my girlfriends from Med. School for our annual girl's trip.  We had WAY TOO MUCH FUN!

Our ridiculously fun weekend included the following activities:  Soaking in the hot tub, spa treatments, shopping, cooking, more shopping, movies, karaoke, LOTS of good food, and lots of good conversation.  In fact, we stayed up later and later each night, until finally the last night we saw the first lights of dawn before we surrendered!!  We're already counting down until next year.

The kids and James spent the weekend at his parent's house where, again this year, Grandma Katie had a new litter of kittens to play with!  NINE kittens, to be exact!

They also had a small front yard flood, which entertained them for an entire afternoon. Look how gorgeous it is there!?!?!! We miss Cache Valley so much.

The kids love visiting Utah and spending time with their cousins. I remember growing up, we lived out of state for a long time and those weeks during the Summer that we spent visiting were the most cherished of the whole year. I feel bad that our trips are always so rushed, but what can you do?

This photo is of Annabelle (almost 2), Abigail (3), and Ashley Bell (2.5)- all about 6 months apart.

Having my niece, Alissa, here for most of the Summer was just awesome. I hope we can do it every year. She is just a delight and may I say, quite an adorable hair bow model! We had SO MUCH FUN playing with her hair and my bows! Then Lyna and Shiloh came and it just got even more fun!!

Last week we took the kids down to Seal Beach in La Jolla. There weren't many seals, but its still a lot of fun and UBER gorgeous there!

The first of hopefully many such performances:

Our adorable little baby girl has become an adorable little toddler- talking, walking, dancing, singing, causing her share of trouble, yet she still has us wrapped around her little finger.

Hey Jenny. It's always so fun to check out your blog. Your kids are so adorable. Did James tell you I saw him at the hospital in Logan? I think it was when you were at your girls weekend. The hospital's not really somewhere you want to run into someone unless it's for a new baby. I hope his dad is doing alright. One of these times when you're visiting Utah again we'll have to try to get together.
