Obviously I'm having a hard time working blogging into my schedule right now. Its either because its been super crazy busy lately (which it has), or its just not a priority right now (which it isn't). Probably its a little of both, but I really miss it and so today I find myself sliding a few other things out of my way to make time for it!
There is SO MUCH to catch up on! Its been a really full month- lots of fun. First of all, Dillon's basketball season ended and wouldn't you know it, they only lost ONE game! Here he is getting the "most improved player" award.
AND... for those of you who didn't believe me that he was the youngest and smallest player on his team and in his whole division, here's proof!
WAY TO GO BLACK LIGHTNING!! Awesome season.
We are so proud of how hard he worked. Despite the fact that he had a lot of fun, Dillon worked so hard to improve and be a more valuable team member. He was outside practicing the minute he'd get home from school, and often WAY too early on weekend mornings! At the awards "ceremony" Dillon's coach put it best, "At the beginning of the season this guy didn't even know how to dribble, let alone score, but now he's a scoring machine!"
As they have for the past few years, James and the boys joined grandpa Mathews and some of the other uncles and nephews to watch the USU AGGIES play in the WAC championship tournament.
It was in Reno again this year. They had the time of their life! Besides the games, which are a blast in themselves,
they got to see SNOW,
a train museum,
indoor ferris wheel,
tons of yummy food,
and their favorite of all..... CABELA'S!
Unfortunately, the whole thing was over James' and my anniversary again! Hopefully someone will get the memo next year! Oh, and hopefully the Aggies will get the memo to WIN the championship next year! We're proud of them anyway, but it was such a bummer to see 'em lose :(
Annabelle was so happy to see her daddy and brudders come back home!
Baseball season is in full swing and its 3 day a week practices and two day a week games almost every week! Its a little nuts, but we LOVE it. Dillon is in "AA" now, and its a little more aggressive and competitive, but he seems to be handling it well. His favorite position is still catcher and he's great at it!
(Hair sprayed orange for St. Patty's day just happened to work for team spirit as well!)
Charlie has given up on Karate. He loved it for a while and even earned his yellow belt... then begged me to let him quit for 3 months. Soooo I finally gave in. He must not have realized how completely adorable he is in that gee! :0)
Little miss Annabelle had her first haircut! Here's the before (with the mullet and quite a little scowl):
Here's the after (in her Easter dress):
Since we don't actually go to church this year on Easter Sunday, I had the kids dressed up last Sunday and they looked SO SCRUMPTIOUS!!
